Vitamin D3 Deficiency linked to Obesity

While vitamin D deficiency has been shown to be very prevalent in the general population, it seems particularly severe in those who are obese. Vitamin D, when at adequate levels in the serum, can help modulate receptor sites and cell signaling proteins that have been associated with weight gain and the pathology of obesity.
